CRA has updated its website to provide more tools and information to assist charities comply with the requirement not to be engaged in excessive political activities. The Charities Directorate has reiterated the fact that it is not subject to political direction in identifying which charities to audit.
The updated website includes:
- frequently asked questions;
- a self-assessment tool;
- a recorded webinar and a series of videos on political activities
