CCCC is pleased to announce that Ryle Cameron has joined our staff as Associate Director of Legal Affairs, beginning July 11, 2022!

Ryle completed his Hon. B.A. in English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Western Ontario.

During law school Ryle was actively involved with the Western Journal of Legal Studies, first as a Staff Editor, and later a Managing Editor. He also had the pleasure of working as a Research Assistant for a Western Law Professor, where he assisted with commercial and international sport arbitrations, helped draft policies for an e-sports company, and kept academic publications current with emerging case law.

Prior to joining CCCC, Ryle articled and summered at the Waterloo office of a full-service national law firm, where he gained experience in a variety of practice areas including corporate and commercial, real estate, and municipal law, among others. He was called to the Ontario Bar in the summer of 2022 and is excited to use his skills and training to support charities as they fulfill their missions.

Ryle is currently a member of the Waterloo Region Law Association and the Canadian Bar Association. When not working, Ryle is always on the lookout for cheap flights, finding new recipes to try, and trying to keep up with his nephews.

In the Associate Director role, Ryle will support the Director of Legal Affairs with research, legal analysis and content development. This role is primarily internally facing and provides legal support to senior leadership and team members on a broad range of charity, tax and trust law issues.
