Working to Reopen Ontario’s Faith Hubs: Live Webinar Panel Discussion TODAY

Our friends at Cardus are hosting a Live Webinar Panel Discussion TODAY, Friday, February 26, 3-4pm on Essential Services: Working to Reopen Ontario’s Faith Hubs. Moderator Ray Pennings will facilitate a discussion between faith leaders with three Ontario legislators.

We have encouraged our members to engage constructively with government officials to thank them for their efforts in this pandemic, to share the challenges you are facing, and to ask that our leaders consider the fundamental role that churches play in our nation, particularly in times of adversity. Public health is rightly a priority, and physical well-being is absolutely a core component of that. But we want to encourage respectful, active inclusion of both the social and spiritual dimensions of health.

This is a great opportunity to participate in mutually beneficial and respectful dialogue with elected leaders and work collaboratively together!

Topics for discussion will include:

  • The roadmap for reopening faith hubs, for worship and for vital community services
  • Measures to mitigate current and future damage to Ontarians’ mental and spiritual health
  • Faith communities assisting the public in the return to normal
  • Faith communities and planning departments building better muscles for mutual long-term gain

To participate be sure to register!
