Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Hebrews 12:1

Pastors, not only is there a great cloud of witnesses in heaven to cheer you on, there are lots of people here on earth who are close to you and who can cheer you on in your ministry, if you let them. One of the greatest leadership myths is that it is lonely at the top. That is true only if you want it to be true. This post from November 8, 2011 will encourage pastors to be authentic and vulnerable with those who can help them persevere through the trials of pastoral ministry.
