It only needs to be done once and has been implemented to enhance <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ised-isde.canada.ca\/site\/corporations-canada\/en\/about-us\/identity-management\" target=\"_blank\">security and protection<\/a> for personal and corporate information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to verify your identity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are <a href=\"https:\/\/ised-isde.canada.ca\/site\/corporations-canada\/en\/about-us\/identity-verification\">six steps to verify your identity<\/a> in your ISED account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Sign in to your ISED account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click your name in the top right corner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u201cupdate\u201d in the profile box<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u201cget started\u201d under the yellow exclamation mark<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify your identity using one of three methods:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Interac banking sign-in \u2013 supports identity verification through BMO, CIBC, Desjardins, RBC, Scotiabank, TD<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Interac document verification \u2013 requires photo of ID (passport or driver\u2019s licence) and a selfie<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-person at Canada Post outlet \u2013 requires government-issued photo ID and proof of address (if not part of your government-issued photo ID)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once verified, your ISED account is automatically updated<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Federally Incorporated Charities Only<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This applies to charities incorporated under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act.
