The return is no longer available from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and won&#8217;t be filed through CRA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The additional update for you is that until further notice, Ontario corporations are temporarily exempt from the <em>Corporations Information Act <\/em>annual return filing requirement if the return is due during this period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can sign up <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/ontario.ca\/business-registry-setup\">here for email updates from the Ontario Business Registry<\/a> on when the temporary exemption will end and other related topics<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New Ontario Business Registry<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ontario is working on a new digital business registry system. Businesses and not-for-profits will use the system for registration, filing and other transactions. It is intended to be simpler, faster and more convenient. Every business and not-for-profit that is registered, incorporated or licensed to carry on business in Ontario will have an online profile in the new registry.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right now, the government is inviting some users to participate in trial sessions of the registry. Interested in participating in these pre-launch user-trial sessions?  Although the sessions have started, they will continue until at least July 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, with a possible extension through to July 30<sup>th<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can indicate your interest by going to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ontario.ca\/page\/ontario-business-registry\">Ontario.ca\/BusinessRegistry<\/a> and clicking on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/mailchi.mp\/ontario.ca\/participate-in-user-trials\">Register for user trials<\/a>.\u201d You\u2019ll need to provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Your name<\/li><li>Your email address<\/li><li>Your company name (if applicable)<\/li><li>Phone number<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The registry will be launched later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Annual Information Return Last month we let you know about a change to the RC232 Annual Return.
