This is a bonus post to give you time to reflect on the psalm from a musical perspective. I suggest you read the psalm, spend some time reflecting on how it affects you as a ministry leader, and then watch the video.

The hymn tune will be quite familiar because it is the one we sing the Doxology to (Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow). But the tune itself is called “Old One Hundred” and was composed as the setting for a paraphrase of Psalm 100. The words to the hymn will scroll along with the music. Sing along! When the hymn concludes, there is a celebratory musical finale based on the hymn tune.

Psalm 100

1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
