Stewarding Benevolence with Integrity: Policies, Practices, and Compliance

Stewarding Benevolence with Integrity: Policies, Practices, and Compliance

Are you responsible for the benevolence ministry within your ministry? Or, are you responsible for some of the bookkeeping and receipting practices for your organization and wonder how benevolence related gifts and expenses should be handled? We warmly invite you to join us in our upcoming webinar, “Benevolence.”

In this session, you will be guided by Gil Langerak, Member Support Specialist. Gil is passionate about support ministries as they seek to faithfully steward their charitable resources, including those used for benevolence.

With his years of experience, Gil will present an overview of all things benevolence including,

  • The distinction between public and private benevolence,
  • proper assessment of financial need via good policy,
  • government T5007 slip reporting: when it's required, and when it's not,
  • ways to avoid providing an undue benefit, and
  • benevolence for refugees.

Length: 36 mins 56 sec
