Financial Statements Part 2: Evaluating Financial Statements

Financial Statements Part 2: Evaluating Financial Statements

Part 2 of 2.

Every Canadian charity must prepare a set of financial statements to be submitted with its completed T3010 Registered Charity Information Return to the Canada Revenue Agency annually. In some situations, the charity may be required to have its financial statements reviewed or audited by a licensed public accountant.

If you are responsible for reviewing, evaluating, or auditing your charity’s financial statements, such as senior leadership, the board, or a finance committee, join us for the CCCC recorded webinar “Financial Statements Part 2: Evaluating Financial Statements" led by Curtis Towns. In this webinar, we will look at a basic set of financial statements that have already been completed. Remaining at a high level, we will discuss how the different statements are connected to each other, what story they tell, and approaches that can be taken to evaluate them.

This 60-minute webinar will include a structured presentation followed by time for Q&A. We trust it will be helpful to those who are new to evaluating financial statements for their charity and to those looking for a refresher. Presenter: Curtis Towns, Canadian Centre for Christian Charities.
